Introduction to Rustomjee Builders

The Rustom Irani built the foundation to established "Making Education a Priority" inception of 1998 in the memory of Late Shri Rustom Irani, with the objective.The object of ‘The Rustomjee International School' – which is premier English medium School in Mumbai, in 1999 built by Rustomjee Builders was "Making Education a Priority”.

Rustomjee Builder has achieved an desirable standing within a short span of time of 5 years .Also Rustomjee Builders has grown from 268 students in the first year to 4500 students in 2004. Rustomjee Builders School strive to make learning agreeable through pioneering approach to education. Rustomjee Internal School believes that education is not the stodgy of a bottle, but the kindle of a flame. Rustomjee Builders aim is to burst into flames the spirit, unshackle the creativity and let the model emerge in different forms and shapes in each entity child.

Rustomites are groom to take on their responsibility as the prospect architect of the nation. At the school they are qualified to apply their mind, body and soul towards achieving their goal. Rustomites are trained to identify with that "Success is not in never falling but in rising after every fall".

Rustomjee Builders this foundation has further initiate countless program to broaden education, to name a few:

1. Shiksha:- This is a program that helps educate children who come from economically backward classes and work as domestic help. In the program boys and girls are given vocational training in the field of plumbing, carpentry, sewing, cooking etc. These students are taught reading, writing and are also trained to understand the importance of hygiene and are taught the use of banks, post office and police stations. Shiksha aims at making these students self-reliant and independent.

2. Sensitive Saturday Program:- The Rustom Irani School, run by the foundation has started this program with the aim of installing humane values in each and every Rustomite. Every Saturday students from the secondary standards visit old homes, orphanages, cancer patients association and other such institutes, interact with the inhabitants of the place and spend quality time either reading a book or just talking with them.

3. Enhancement of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Schools:- The Foundation encourages students from its schools to interact with students from the state run BMC schools. Rustomites are encouraged to interact with the students of these schools and have also informally helped them with their studies. They have also organized donation drives for these schools.

4. A window for the Under Privileged Children:- The Foundation involves underprivileged children in various activities of the school, for instance, the children from the near by slums are made to participate in the school's annual day function, thus providing a platform for these children to showcase their talents.

5. Unsung Heroes...No Longer!:- In its second year now, this is 'Awards for Excellence in Education' to acknowledge, recognize and reward meritorious teachers. It also serves as a platform for sharing of resources and ideas to raise the standards of education

Directors of Rustomjee Builders

The Keystone Group is headed by the young and dynamic Mr. Boman R. Irani who is the Chairman and Managing Director. Mr. Irani is an engineer with exposure to international trade, a first generation developer, an entrepreneur and a team leader. He is a visionary and a thinker and the driving force behind the Keystone team.

He is assisted by Mr. Chandresh D. Mehta (Director) who is an engineer from Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA from Xavier's Institute of Management (Bhuvaneshwar) Specializing in Finance and Marketing putting together the building blocks which build the company. Mr. Mehta has an extensive understanding and in depth knowledge in the construction field.

Mr. Percy S Chowdhry (Director) is a Management Graduate having specialized in Marketing and has a world of experience in marketing, having worked for a string of Multinational Corporations like Dunlop, Gulf Oil etc. and finally headed operations for the Western Region of India for Coca - Cola. He is a multi talented and versatile individual with an exceptional personality.
